Westchester Man Drove Drunk With 3-Year-Old In Car On Long Island, Police Say

A Westchester man was arrested for DUI under Leandra's Law after he allegedly drove drunk with a 3-year-old child in the car on Long Island.

Segundo Tenecela, 46, Port Chester, struck a vehicle stopped at a traffic light, on Saturday, June 8, in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.

The crash occurred when Tenecela was traveling eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike and struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at Meacham Avenue, police said.

An investigation found that Tenecela was allegedly driving drunk with a three-year-old child in the passenger's seat. 

The child was released into the custody of parents.

Tenecela was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law,  aggravated driving without a license and multiple traffic violations.
